We are currently planning to provide more support in the Easter Ross area and are looking for some additional volunteers. If you live locally and would like to help support our young person's service in the Tain area and our support for adults and young people in the Evanton area, please see more information here. At Mikeysline, we provide peer support, as such, our volunteers tend to either have had firsthand experience of mental health challenges in some format, be it their own, people close to them, family, friends or in a professional context. Whatever your background, crucial to this role, is the ability to listen, be empathetic and a desire to support people at what can be extremely difficult points in their life.
Please find our application form below. As we work with vulnerable individuals all applicants require 2 satisfactory references and a Protection Vulnerable Groups (PVG) check as part of our recruitment process. There will also be core training which you will need to attend following your interview.
